Classic Math Games is a free suite of competitive math fact fluency games for elementary students in grades 1 through 5, covering all four arithmetic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The multiplication game, What Times What, is live now at whattimeswhat.com. Addition, subtraction, and division games are in development. All games are free, have no ads, are COPPA-compliant, and require no download. Classic Math Games was created by Chris Roberts, a mathematics educator with a Master of Science in Education, Mathematics (1991), who has taught high school mathematics in Texas and college-level mathematics in Texas and Arkansas.
Classic Math Games is designed for digital equity: the games require no download, run on any browser or device, and are fully bilingual in English and Spanish — including Spanish-language speech recognition. There is no paywall, no subscription tier, and no app store account needed.
Yes. What Times What, the live multiplication game, is fully bilingual. The interface, classroom tools, and speech recognition — which scores spoken answers in real time — all support Spanish. Students can answer in Spanish and be scored correctly. All games in the suite will launch with English and Spanish support.
